Last week we briefly discussed the ideas of momentum and upgrading systems. I'd like to continue that discussion by asking some questions: “What we’re building—is it really being effective? Are we fulfilling our purpose as a church?" We always need to start with our WHY.
What’s the WHY behind church? TED speaker Simon Sinek made popular the idea that we must always start with WHY. If we don't know our purpose we'll get out of alignment with what really matters.
So what do you think is the ultimate vision, the mission, and the values of the Church, capital C? Not your local church, but the worldwide church in general, that holds to a biblical Christianity or what is known sometimes as Christian orthodoxy (key doctrines that have been foundational to the Christian faith and shared by Christians for the last 2000 years).
